How To Unlock Pack-a-Punch

Overview

To unlock the Pack-a-Punch machine in IX, you'll need to defeat four champions, one from each of the God Temples (Ra, Danu, Odin, Zeus), collect their glowing heads, and then place them on a central altar in the Temple.

Step 1: Prepare and Navigate to Ra Temple

• Begin in the Arena and open the gate leading towards the Ra Tower Entrance.
• Proceed through the Ra Tower Entrance down into the Burial Chamber.
• It's recommended to acquire some decent weapons from the Mystery Box located in the Fallen Hero area before proceeding.

Step 2: Collect Champion Head (Ra)

• From the Ra Tower Entrance, go up the stairs to the Ra Altar Room.
• Locate the gong in the Ra Altar Room and interact with it (hold Square/X) to summon the Ra Champion.
• Defeat the Ra Champion. Utilize your specialist weapon if needed.
• Once defeated, the champion will drop a blue glowing head. Pick it up; it will go into your inventory.

Step 3: Collect Champion Head (Danu)

• Navigate to the Danu Tower: Arboretum entrance, typically by exiting Ra Tower and crossing a bridge.
• Enter the Danu Altar Room and locate the gong.
• Summon and defeat the Danu Champion by interacting with the gong.
• Pick up the dropped blue glowing head.

Step 4: Collect Champion Head (Odin)

• Make your way to the Odin Tower: Entrance. This usually involves navigating through the underground areas like The Pit.
• In the Odin Altar Room, find the gong.
• Summon and defeat the Odin Champion (which could be tigers instead of brute zombies).
• Collect the glowing blue head.

Step 5: Collect Champion Head (Zeus)

• Proceed to the Zeus Tower: Entrance. You might need to go through areas like the Bath House or Crypts.
• In the Zeus Altar Room, locate the final gong.
• Summon and defeat the Zeus Champion.
• Acquire the last glowing blue head.

Step 6: Activate Pack-a-Punch

• With all four champion heads collected, head down into the central Temple area of the map. This can be accessed via various entrances from the towers.
• Locate the central altar in the middle of the room.
• Hold Square/X to "feed the altar" with the champion heads.
• After a short animation, the Pack-a-Punch machine will rise from the floor, ready for use.
• You can then upgrade your weapons and apply special camos and abilities.
