Brazen Bull Shield

Overview

This guide will walk you through finding all three parts of the Brazen Bull shield on the IX Zombies map, crafting it at the workbench, and understanding its powerful melee and ranged attacks.

Step 1: Ra Temple Part Locations

The first shield part can be found in the Temple of Ra. From the spawn area, take a right and head into the Ra Tower Entrance.

• One possible spawn location is on the floor to the left, leaning against an urn.
• Another possible location is on the right-hand side, against the wall near an urn.
• The third possible spawn for this part is on the opposite wall, against a pillar.
• Note: Sometimes the parts may take a second or two to appear on screen, but you can still pick them up if you know the exact location.

Step 2: Odin Temple Part Locations

The second shield part is located in Odin's Temple. To get there from the Ra Tower Entrance, head through 'The Pit' area.

• The first possible spawn is just past the entrance to Odin's Cauldron, against a wooden beam on the left.
• Another potential location is on the ground near a shield rack, further into the Odin Tower Entrance area.
• The third possible spawn is upstairs in the Odin Altar Room, leaning against a wooden barrel in the corner.

Step 3: Zeus Temple Part Locations

The final shield part is found in the Temple of Zeus. You can reach it by crossing the drawbridge from Odin's Altar Room.

• One possible spawn location is at the feet of a large statue near the entrance of the Zeus Altar Room.
• Another spawn can be found in the outstretched hand of a statue down a small set of stairs in the Zeus Tower Entrance.
• The last possible location is further down the stairs in the Zeus Bath House, on a platform in front of a Greek artwork mural.

Step 4: Craft the Brazen Bull Shield

Once you have all three parts, return to the buildable bench in 'The Pit' area (Odin Tunnel). Here you can craft the Brazen Bull shield.

• Interact with the workbench to assemble the shield.

Step 5: Brazen Bull Shield Abilities

The Brazen Bull shield has unique melee and ranged capabilities:

• Melee Attack: Instead of a shield bash, you perform a powerful swiping motion with the attached blade.
• Multi-kill Effect: Achieving multi-kills with the melee attack will charge glowing gems on your sword. Once charged, subsequent melee attacks will light zombies on fire.
• Ranged Attack: You can place the blade into a slot on the shield and use it as a gun, firing flaming projectiles in 30-round bursts.
• The ranged attack is useful for clearing hordes, as demonstrated in the Arena.
• Be aware that the shield does not kill zombies effectively at higher rounds and breaks quickly, as shown when meleeing frozen zombies.
