Necrofluid Gauntlet

Overview

This guide will walk you through the steps to acquire the Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon on the Ashes of the Damned map. Before starting, ensure you have progressed to Ashwood, activated all three power generators (Farm, Blackwater Lake, and Ashwood), and optionally opened Pack-a-Punch.

Step 1: Restart Klaus

• Head to the Sheriff's Office located in Ashwood. Inside, you'll find Klaus sitting offline in a jail cell.
• Your next destination is the Janus Towers Plaza, specifically near the gate leading to Blackwater Lake.
• Look for a Project Janus storage container on the right side.
• Once you reach Round 8, a Mecha-Klaus will burst out of this crate when you get close to it.
• Defeat Mecha-Klaus by shooting both of his weak spots until he eventually breaks, then destroy his core.
• He will drop a Stabilizer Chip. Pick it up.
• Return to the Sheriff's Office in Ashwood where Klaus is held.
• Install the Stabilizer Chip onto the door of Klaus's jail cell.
• To restart Klaus, throw about three to four stun grenades directly at him through the bars. Aim carefully as it can be finicky.
• Once successfully stunned, Klaus will get up, introduce himself, and then fly off the map. You will then receive a remote control for Klaus.

Step 2: Access the Cosmoodrome

• With Klaus now under your control, lead him to the Cosmoodrome area. Guide him to the door located at the bottom of the map.
• Use your controller to direct Klaus to interact with the door. He will type on a keypad.
• Once Klaus is finished, you will be able to flip a switch that he was typing on.
• After flipping the switch, a red circle will appear on the floor in the middle of the room. Stand directly within this circle.
• Look up at the security camera from which a red light is emitting. You must remain in the circle and continue looking at the camera to progress a countdown on the left side of your screen. If you move out of the circle, the countdown resets for the next round. You can look away from the camera to pause the countdown if needed, but do not leave the circle.
• Complete the lockdown sequence by fending off zombies while keeping your gaze fixed on the camera.
• Upon completion, the gate in front of you will open, revealing an Aether Canister.

Step 3: Charge the Aether Canister

• Pick up the Aether Canister. You'll be on a timer.
• Immediately get into Tessie (the truck) and drive it back to the Ashwood power generator, which is the Origins Power Generator in the middle of the map.
• Install the canister into the generator. You will need to defend it from purple-eyed zombies that spawn. Be careful not to kill too many regular zombies to avoid progressing rounds too quickly.
• Once the canister is charged, pick it up. The timer will reset.
• Get back into Tessie and drive to Blackwater Lake. Note that the jump pads are offline during this step, so you'll need to drive the full distance.
• Install the canister into the Blackwater Lake power generator and defend it again.
• Once charged, pick up the canister (timer resets) and drive Tessie to Van Dorn Farm.
• Install the canister into the Van Dorn Farm power generator and defend it.

Step 4: Unlock the Gauntlet

• After defending the power generator at Van Dorn Farm, pick up the fully charged Aether Canister.
• Go to the basement of Van Dorn Farm and install the canister into the Quadrofacts Box.
• Next, make your way back up to the top of Van Dorn Farm.
• Use the jump pad to launch yourself back towards Project Janus Towers Plaza. While in the air, take note of the three unique symbols displayed on top of the barn, the silo, and the house. The symbols are random for each game, but there's no specific order you need to remember them in.
• Head back down to the basement and locate the Quadrofacts Box.
• One side of the box has an eyeball. Ignore this for now.
• The other three sides are initially blank. Interact with each side to cycle through different symbols until the three symbols you observed on the farm buildings are displayed on the box.
• Once all three correct symbols are displayed, interact with the side of the box that has the eyeball.
• The Necrofluid Gauntlet will appear where the eyeball was. Pick it up!
• Finally, you'll need to complete a brief training sequence. Green puke stains will appear on the walls around the basement. Shoot these stains with the Gauntlet's spikes and then retract them using the alternate fire button. Continue until all stains are cleared.
• Upon completing the training, the Intel will be acquired, and you will have full access to the Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon. You can then Pack-a-Punch it for more damage.
